Blue Skies 04:23
Blue Skies bursting out your blue eyes, Waves of warmth and love and I, I feel fine, I don't need to try, Blue Skies. So effortlessly you came to me So effortlessly you seem to be Comfy, comfy, comfy in your skin Comfy in your skin (comfy in your skin) Comfy in your skin (comfy in your skin) Blue skies come and go so that I know, I've got a lot to learn from you, And all the things you do, how I wish that i was just like you Blue Skies Swimmingly, it's got to be So effortless I want to be Comfy, comfy, comfy in my... comfy, comfy, comfy in my skin Comfy in my skin (comfy in my skin) Comfy in my skin (comfy in my skin) Comfy in your skin (comfy in your skin) Comfy in your skin (comfy in your skin)

Lucy 04:18
Did you see the way that she, the way she looked at me? I could see but she was staring into infinity. Did you see the way that she, she never blinked an eye? She was staring straight through me, straight through space and time. Lucy x2 Won't you look at me Lucy, I thought I saw you on TV, And somewhere through the screen, your eyes were fixed on me Lucy cut her hair, she doesn't care I think she's a star. And with her cat-like eyes she looks just like Anna Karina. Lucy, I've been wondering just what it is you see, Behind your big brown eyes there lies a thousand mysteries. Lucy x2 Won't you look at me Lucy, I thought I saw you on TV, And somewhere through the screen, Your eyes were fixed on me. I think I know why you caught my eye, Lucy you're a star You're Anna Karina from the 60's French new-wave cinema.

Take your time, you will find there is nothing you can do, For now, because it's never been up to you. And you'll be good, just like you know you should If you take your time. It's no use crying to the moon It's no good worrying, there's nothing you can do, just catch the breeze into wherever it takes you, Where you are is where you are meant to be. I know you're like me, you've got nothing the world wants from you. No expectations, you're floating here and there and everywhere, And you don't have to be settled down by twenty-three, If you take your time. And it's no use crying to the moon It's no good worrying so all you've gotta do Is catch the breeze into wherever it takes you Where you are is where you are meant to be. Take your time, don't you know theres nothing you can do, For now, because it's never been up to you. You'll be good just like you know you should, If you take your time.

I'm Done 03:24
Take me home, I think I'm done, I may not live to see the sun, I can't make sense, I can't make sound. Ooh I'm done. Visions out, my visions in My eyes can't focus on anything, Dizzy city lights start to spin. I just need somebody to help me through the night. Well I just need somebody to make sure I wake up alright. Take me home, put me to bed, I need to rest my heavy head, And you're my hunny, Yeah my best friend I just need somebody to help me through the night I just need somebody to make sure I wake up alright. Well I feel pathetic but I'm desperate - Take me home Thirty minutes and I'll be finished - Take me home And in the morning I'll be fine to wake up at your side, Yeah in the morning we will laugh: "Oh man you were done last night"

Here, I sit on the edge of the world, I sit, waiting for my girl, But she's swimming somewhere down below. She rises, grabs my hand and tells me: "The ocean bed's so comfy", She says she wants to show me... Nobody knows where she goes, where she goes. Nobody can get close. She took me down and showed me under, Now I can't get enough of her, Well I think I thought I loved her. But no it can't be, she was right here next to me, But I woke up alone on my terminal beach. Now I'm lost at sea, drowning in uncertainty I got so close but she's just out of reach. Take my hand and get to know me Oh I'm tired of feeling lonely Stuck out on the beach, you're out of reach. Take my hand, don't let me go, Won't you take me down below. Why can't, I can't, Why can't I..? I can't, why can't, I just can't get close? Take my hand and get to know me Oh I'm tired of feeling lonely, Stuck out on the beach, you're out of reach. Take my hand, don't let me go, Won't you take me down below. Why can't, I can't, why can't I get close? And nobody knows where she goes, where she goes, Nobody can get close.

I need somewhere of my own, Somewhere I feel I can grow, Grow with the flowers out on my front porch. Somewhere with an olden touch, Wooden floorboards, the whole lot; Fire place and high ceiling, An old tin roof, character and feeling. A big old garden we can lounge in, Raise our kids and raise our dogs in, It can't be too far away now. Somewhere we'll be proud to call, Our home - our castle, And oh hows the serenity my love? And I can just picture it now; All my friends in one big house, Surrounded by the ones we love the most. And maybe when we're older, It will all be easier. Home sweet home, I need somewhere I can grow. It can't be too long to go til we are home sweet home. Home sweet home, with the ones I love the most, We will be one big family, we'll be home sweet home. Home sweet home, I need somewhere I can grow...

Poor Syd 04:08
Who let the day escape me again? Who let it go while we were just getting stoned? And in an hour or so I was dead to the world, I grew old. Well I was seventy-five and nothing could satisfy. Not taking my time and not blue skies... And all the things that I did in all the years that I lived : Forgotten Poor Syd. La la la la Now I can't believe it is happening to me, Ohh I can't believe it is happening to me. La la la la

In His Head 03:33
He was feeling blue, Had nothing to do. In his head he saw just what he was looking for. He was overwhelmed, Waiting for time to tell. In his head he knew just what he had to do. He was far to shy, Kept it all inside. In his head he found a way to turn it inside out. In his head, he was In his head, he was In his head, he was In his head, he was In his head, he was In his head, he was all alone Waiting by the phone, waiting for her call, Anything at all To get him out of bed, To get him out of his head.

about

So I wanted to put out a solid release of 4 or 5 songs for an EP in 2015, however as time went on more and more ideas developed leaving me with the 9 songs on the album. A lot of time was spent writing the songs with Lucy, Blue Skies and bits and pieces of Terminal Beach and Take your Time dating back to 2014/early 15' (most of Home Sweet Home minus the lyrics date back to 2013). I let time get away for me and for a while it seemed as though I'd never put out these songs. I accepted that if I didn't put some of these songs out now, particularly the older ones, then I never would and finally got going.

Having very little technical knowledge on how to record/mix etc proved to be frustrating and painful. However, it also gave me the freedom to try different things to achieve the sound I had in my head. It doesn't matter if you don't know what you're doing or if it's not 'professional'; if it sounds good to you then dig!

Enjoy!
